The USDA Forest Service, Forest Products Laboratory intends to award a sole source contract to The Modal Group for the RAM-TEST SEMI Automated System. The system uses mechanical impact to excite resonance frequencies within an object. The contract will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested parties must provide clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government by September 8, 2023 at 2:00 PM (CT). The Government reserves the right to determine whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement based on the responses received. No reimbursement for capability information will be provided.

Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. USDA Forest Service, Forest Products Laboratory intends to award a sole source award to The Modal Group forRAM-TEST SEMI Automated System.Model RAM-TEST-SH1 uses a mechanical impact to excite the resonances frequencies within an object. It has thecombination of characteristics that meets our requirements. This purchase will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with: Federal Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement by September 8,2023 at 2:00 PM (CT). Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed award upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided.
