This contract is seeking qualified and experienced sources to replace two roof access ladders and install a guardrail system on a roof hatch. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is conducting market research to identify parties capable of providing the necessary services and supplies. The contract will be a single award Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type contract under NAICS code 236220. The requirements and deliverables for this contract include:
- - Replacement of two roof access ladders in rooms B305 and B321 with OSHA compliant ladders
- - Installation of a 42" guardrail system on the exterior hatch opening perimeter of the roof hatch in room B321, including a self-closing swing gate

This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought for information and planning purposes to identify qualified and experienced sources for an anticipated single award Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type contract under NAICS code 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a size standard of $45.0 millions of dollars. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond; however, each respondent must clearly identify their business size in their capabilities statement. Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is issuing this sources sought request for information as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support a contract for two roof access ladders located in rooms B305 and B321 in building 1602 need to be replaced with an OSHA compliant ladders. Additionally, the roof hatch in room B321 requires the installation of a 42" guardrail system on exterior hatch opening perimeter, with a self-closing swing gate. Interested sources will be capable providing the services and supplies in accordance with the needed specifications within Attachment (A), the draft Statement of Work. Based on the responses to this Sources Sought Notice/Market Research, this requirement may be set-aside for Small Businesses (in full or in part) or procured through full and open competition, or other than full and open competition. All Small Business Set-Aside categories will be considered. This announcement constitutes a sources sought synopsis for written information only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and a contract will not be awarded from this announcement. This sources sought notice is not to be construed in any way as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. A determination of the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
